Probashbangla24 online Desk : At least four people including a minor girl were killed in two separate landslide incidents in Chittagong city in the early hours on Sunday.
The landslides were triggered by the continuous heavy rainfall for last several days due to the influence of Cyclone Titli.
The deceased were identified as Noorjahan, 45, wife of Nur Mohammad, her mother Bibi Zahura, 63, Nurul Alam Nantu, 30 and three-years old Faizunnesa.
The two women and the baby girl were killed after a huge chunk of mud collapsed on their house in Jhil area of Firoj Shah Colony around 2:30 am, according to fire service officials.
In another incident, Nurul Alam was killed as a heavy chunk of soil fell on his house in Hillview residential area in Panchlaish around 1:30 am.
Later, two firefighting units rushed to the scenes and rescued three people including a child as critically injured.
The injured were taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital where doctors declared Nurul dead around 2:40 am.
